About Dobara
What is Dobara?+
Dobara gives beautiful Indian formal clothing a second innings. We
offer gently worn and pre-loved Indian formal wear so you can refresh your wardrobe
without paying full retail prices — and give outfits sitting unused in your closet a
chance to be worn and loved again.
When is Dobara launching?+
The Dobara showroom will be open for shopping starting in late
September. In the meantime, we're accepting appointments now — bring in your unused
Indian formal clothing for evaluation ahead of launch using our calendar.
How does Dobara support sustainability and Indian culture?+
Every piece you bring or take home keeps beautiful Indian
craftsmanship — hand embroidery, zari, mirror work — in circulation instead of sitting
unused or ending up in landfill. Dobara also makes Indian formal wear more affordable
and accessible, so more people get to celebrate their culture and dress up for every
occasion. Choosing pre-loved here isn't a compromise — it's something to feel genuinely
proud of.
Why buy pre-loved Indian formal clothing?+
Indian formal wear can be expensive, and many outfits are worn
only once or twice. Weddings, festivals, sangeets, mehndis and themed celebrations also
mean we constantly want something different. Dobara lets you wear more, spend less and
waste less.
Does Dobara have new clothes also?+
Yes — alongside our gently worn, pre-loved pieces, we also carry
new and never-worn options, so there's something for every budget and occasion.
Will you have clothing for different ages, sizes and genders?+
That is our goal. Dobara is being created for all generations,
sizes and genders, with inventory growing as more pieces enter our collection.
Where is Dobara located?+
Dobara is a Bay Area-based boutique in Fremont, CA. During our
initial launch phase, visits and clothing evaluations are by appointment.

Bringing Your Clothes
What kind of clothing does Dobara accept?+
We accept Indian formal clothing for women, men, teens and children,
including lehengas, sarees, salwar suits, anarkalis, gowns, kurtas, sherwanis,
Indo-Western outfits and other festive or formal wear.
Do the clothes need to be new?+
No — pre-loved is exactly what Dobara is about. Items should,
however, be in excellent, wearable condition: clean, presentable, and free from
significant stains, tears, damage or excessive wear.
Can I mail in my clothing instead of visiting in person?+
Yes. Ship your pieces to us for evaluation, and once accepted,
we'll send you an e-voucher for their value, valid for one year toward anything in
the Dobara collection.
How is the value of my clothing determined?+
Each piece is evaluated based on factors such as its condition,
style, age, original quality, workmanship, brand or designer, current demand and
expected resale value.
Do you accept every item brought in?+
We'll take a look at everything you bring in. That said, we're
only able to offer a Dobara voucher for pieces that meet our quality, style and demand
criteria. If a piece doesn't qualify for a voucher, just let us know and we're happy to
responsibly discard it for you, so you don't have to take it back home.
Can I just donate my clothes?+
Absolutely. If you simply want to clear your closet and give
your beautiful Indian clothes another life, we would love to evaluate them for Dobara.
Is there a fee to have my clothing evaluated?+
No — evaluations are free, whether you bring pieces in person or
mail them to us.
Vouchers & Shopping
What do I receive for the clothes Dobara accepts?+
For pieces that qualify, you'll receive a Dobara voucher based on
our evaluation — usable toward anything in the Dobara collection. If a piece doesn't
qualify for a voucher, we can responsibly discard it for you instead, so it doesn't
have to come back home with you.
How long is my Dobara voucher valid for?+
Vouchers are valid for one year from the date they're issued —
plenty of time to find the right piece for your next occasion.
Can I shop at Dobara even if I don't bring clothes?+
Yes. You do not need to contribute clothing to shop with us.
Anyone can purchase from the Dobara collection.
What if my size has changed?+
That's one of the reasons Dobara exists. Instead of keeping
beautiful clothes that no longer fit, bring them to us and use your voucher toward
something that works for you now.
